Breaking News: Riley Strain’s Body Recovered from Nashville River

We have some somber news to share with you today. The body of Riley Strain, a missing college student from Missouri, has been found in the Cumberland River in West Nashville. This update comes two weeks after Riley was last seen.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officials made the heartbreaking discovery at around 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning. They have not found any evidence of foul play, but an autopsy is still pending to determine the cause of death.

Riley’s last known sighting was on March 8, when he was asked to leave Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Bar in downtown Nashville. Surveillance footage captured him crossing the street from the bar, and he was briefly seen on another security camera moments later. He even had a short interaction with the police.

The next day, Riley’s fraternity brothers, who were with him in Nashville, reported him missing. Despite the extensive search efforts by the police, no sign of Riley or any clues could be found until March 16, when his bank card was discovered along the banks of the Cumberland River.

We are deeply saddened by this outcome and send our sincere condolences to Riley’s family and friends during this incredibly challenging time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this tragedy.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
