In a determined effort to strengthen the border near San Diego, a group of veterans known as the “Border Sentinels” has taken action by deploying concertina wire to secure critical gaps in the barrier.
These brave veterans are focused on curbing the flow of illegal migration across our southern border. With steadfast determination, they navigate challenging terrains and set up barriers, dedicated to protecting our nation’s sovereignty.
Among those joining the ranks of the Border Sentinels was Marine Corps veteran Kate Monroe. A symbol of strength and resolve, Monroe is campaigning for a congressional seat in California’s 49th district, challenging Democratic incumbent Mike Levin. She stood alongside the Border Sentinels, actively participating in fortifying the border.
Monroe shared her experience on social media, stating, “I’ve once again fortified our borders. Alongside 11 fellow patriots, the ‘Border Sentinels,’ we’ve secured nearly 1,000 feet of razor wire, ensuring no one crosses this gap illegally.”
Using her hands-on experience to emphasize her commitment to national security, Monroe criticized government officials for their inaction and stressed the need for leaders willing to prioritize action over empty promises. She declared, “While others merely talk, we act. It’s time to elect officials who uphold their duty to protect our borders.”
Reflecting on her service in the Marines, Monroe expressed her disappointment over the necessity of civilian intervention, saying, “I’ve risked my life once to defend our nation, and I’m ready to do it again. It’s disheartening that others lack the courage to take a stand.”
Addressing worries about the legality of their actions, Monroe remained firm, asserting in an interview with NewsNation, “We won’t be deterred. Every moment we impede illegal crossings, we safeguard our homeland.”
