When Patricia Clarke found out she was pregnant in 1983, she had an inkling that her baby might be on the larger side. Knowing that big babies ran in her family, she expected a substantial birth weight. Little did she know that her child would be breaking records and capturing national attention.

Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, who weighed an astonishing 16 pounds. Not only was Kevin the largest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital, but he might have been the biggest baby in the entire state of New Jersey. His size was remarkable – he couldn’t even fit into a standard-sized crib, and his baby clothes were too small for him. However, amidst the challenges, there was relief knowing that Kevin was perfectly healthy.

News of Kevin’s extraordinary birth spread like wildfire. Headlines from all over the country celebrated his arrival, and he even made appearances on popular shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America”. Kevin quickly became a local celebrity, captivating people with his larger-than-life presence.

But Kevin’s journey in the spotlight was only just beginning. By the time he turned 12, he already stood at an impressive 5 foot 7 inches. By junior high, he towered at 6 foot 5 inches. And he didn’t stop growing there. Now, at 35 years old, Kevin is an astonishing 6 feet 9 inches tall.

Kevin’s towering height hasn’t gone unnoticed. He jokingly shares that there isn’t a day that goes by without someone asking him about his height. He humorously responds that he’s “5-foot-21” and when people inquire if he plays basketball, he playfully asks if they play miniature golf.

Despite the challenges that come with being exceptionally tall, Kevin has learned to embrace his unique stature. He proudly lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane, seemingly undisturbed by the fact that he is taller than virtually everyone else he encounters.
