Tom Hanks overwhelmed with grief makes the announcement

On Wednesday, the passing of Mehran Karimi Nasseri caused Hollywood great Tom Hanks to be in a reflective mood. Hanks paid a touching tribute to the late actress following her passing.

After losing his refugee passport and having his request to enter France denied, Mehran, an Iranian refugee, made his home in the departure lounge of Terminal 1 at Charles de Gaulle Airport.

After being denied admission into the United States, he would later serve as the basis for the film “The Terminal,” which was released in 2004, and starred Tom Hanks as an Eastern European guy who was forced to reside in the terminal of the John F. Kennedy Airport.

Tom uploaded a picture to his Facebook page that featured Mehran in an airport setting next to an advertisement for the film The Terminal, in which Catherine Zeta-Jones also starred.

The actor who played Forrest Gump wrote the following in a touching ode to his friend: “Charles de Gaulle’s Mehran Karimi Nasseri, also known as Alfred, passed away recently, and we are saddened to learn of his passing. “The airport is not that horrible,” the passenger said. Mehran was the only one who truly understood the concept. Hanx.”

Tom disabled the comment section for his post, but it still received a significant amount of attention from readers, racking up more than 21,000 likes in less than a quarter of an hour.

After losing his documentation and mailing it to Belgium by accident, Mehran was forced to reside in the airport because he had nowhere else to go. After being kicked out of Iran due to his participation in protests, he had at first intended to make an asylum claim in the United Kingdom. He even gave himself the name Sir Alfred Mehran.

From 1988 until 2006, he called the airport his home. In 2006, he was forcibly removed from the airport because he required medical attention. After that, he spent some time in a hotel before being transferred to a refuge for the homeless in Paris.

After some time had gone, Mehran went back to living in the airport. Unfortunately, he had a heart attack while he was there, and he passed away this past Saturday at the age of 76.

Throughout his life, he was frequently spotted studying economics in the departure lounge of the airport, where he also received meals on a regular basis from passengers who were passing through the airport.
