Toby Keith provides an encouraging update while battling stomach cancer.

Toby Keith is eager to resume touring.

Despite his fight with stomach cancer, the country singer told Fox News he was “feeling good.”

Keith, 61, stated in a message on social media in June 2022 that he had been battling the illness for the previous six months.

He tweeted, “I’ve spent the last six months getting chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. It’s been good thus far. I require some time to rest, heal, and breathe.”

“I am looking forward to spending time with my family,” Keith said. But I’ll run into the fans shortly. I am impatient.

He hasn’t performed since making his revelation, but according to his agents, he will return to the stage “soon.”

“This is all good news,”

Despite the unpredictability of illness, Keith told The Oklahoman he was feeling positive about his future.

“Everything is in a positive trend,” he remarked. “With cancer, you never know, so you must be ready.”

Keith feels that despite undergoing months of chemotherapy, he is prepared to go on tour. He must first test the waters, though.

“I’ve got more wind, and I’m thinking about bringing the band in and setting up, playing somewhere for two or three days just to see if I can get through two hours,” he remarked. All I have to do is see whether I can work two or three nights straight and take a short break from this chemo, and then we’ll resume work. I’m all set. That is being alive.

“I need some time to recharge and recover… The stress of having to deal with all that is fairly crippling. However, we’ll look forward to a positive future if everything goes smoothly.

It would be fantastic if Toby Keith could perform at one or two events! I believe all of his supporters would be extremely grateful.
