Thomas Gibson, the talented American actor, was born on July 3, 1962, in Charleston, South Carolina. From a young age, Gibson showed a keen interest in acting. He attended the Little Theater School and later studied at Bishop England High School. At just ten years old, he made his debut in children’s theater, performing at the Dock Street Theater.

Gibson’s passion for acting led him to the College of Charleston and an internship at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. He further honed his skills at the prestigious Drama division of the Juilliard School, graduating in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.

However, it was his role as Daniel Nyland in “Chicago Hope” that brought him widespread recognition.

Over the years, Gibson’s filmography expanded to include projects like “Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City” (1993) and the NBC miniseries “A Will of Their Own” (1998). He also made significant contributions to the long-running TV series “Criminal Minds,” both as an actor and director.

Gibson married actress Christine Gibson in 1993, and they have three children together. However, their marriage faced difficulties, and in 2014, they filed for divorce after 21 years. Despite their separation, they continued living together for the sake of their children.

In 2016, Gibson faced a highly publicized incident on the set of “Criminal Minds.” During an argument with writer and producer Virgil Williams, Gibson expressed his frustration by kicking Williams. This aggressive behavior led to his dismissal from the show.
