Gibson married actress Christine Gibson in 1993, and they have three children together. However, their marriage faced difficulties, and in 2014, they filed for divorce after 21 years. Despite their separation, they continued living together for the sake of their children.
During this time, rumors of a false online relationship between Gibson and a fan surfaced. The actor clarified that he would never cheat on his wife and remained committed to their relationship despite the challenges they faced.
In 2016, Gibson faced a highly publicized incident on the set of “Criminal Minds.” During an argument with writer and producer Virgil Williams, Gibson expressed his frustration by kicking Williams. This aggressive behavior led to his dismissal from the show.
