Things you didn’t know about Queen Elizabeth II.

This royal “Punking” embarrassed Ashton Kutcher.

After Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday at the age of 96, her friends and admirers flocked to her funeral to remember all of her memorable moments.

One of the funnier anecdotes was related by her bodyguard at the Queen’s Jubilee and involved how the witty queen pranked two US visitors who were visiting her residence but didn’t recognize her.

In a recently-resurfaced video, former Protection Officer Richard Griffin spoke to SKY News about the scandalous encounter that took place while he was strolling with Elizabeth in front of Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland:

“There were two hikers coming towards us and the queen would always stop and say hello.”

Play the theme tune from “Undercover Boss” now! The tourists believed the monarch was simply another visitor because she was covering her head and was dressed in a tweed jacket at the time.

Griffin recalled the incident at June’s Platinum Jubilee: “It was two Americans on a walking vacation, and it was evident they hadn’t recognized her, which was OK.

She responded that she did indeed have a house nearby when the American man asked if she resided in the neighborhood.

Elizabeth coyly retorted “that she resided in London but had a house just over the hill,” the confused bodyguard continued, refusing to blow her cover.

In response to the unaware tourist’s question about how long she had been coming, the covert monarch remarked that, according to Griffin, she had been coming here for around 80 years.

Griffin claims that even though this playful hint started the “cogs” rolling, the unaware traveler still didn’t identify his renowned acquaintance.

“He said, “Well, you must have met the queen if you’ve been coming here for 80 years?

“The security detail remembers the embarrassing incident.

A former bodyguard of Queen Elizabeth recalled the time she epically taunted two uninformed US tourists.

Protection officer Richard Griffin recalled, “It was two Americans on a walking vacation, and it was evident they hadn’t recognized her, which was OK.” She responded that she did indeed have a house nearby when the American man asked if she resided in the neighborhood.

The rapier-witted royal then delivered the queen of all punkings at that point.

Griffin happily recalled the epic deception: “As quick as a flash, she answered, ‘Well I haven’t, but Dick here meets her regularly. So I was asked by the guy how she was.

She could be extremely cantankerous at times, but she has a great sense of humor, I remarked, because I was with her for a long time and could make her laugh.

The visitor then placed his arm around Griffin’s shoulder and handed Elizabeth his camera so she could capture a picture of them while he was still unable to connect the dots.

Then, to allow him to take a picture with what he probably believed to be a random octogenarian, they had the two trade places.

The “undercover boss” still resisted showing her hand.

Regardless, we switched positions. They were photographed with the queen. We waved farewell and kept quiet, Griffin said.

Then, her majesty told me that she would love to be a fly on the wall when he exhibits these images to his American acquaintances in the hopes that someone will identify me.

It goes without saying that Elizabeth’s quick thinking wowed social media.

“Fantastic! She’s a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor, one star-struck Twitter user gushed.

A priceless tale. One fan said, “I’ve read many times that she has an impish sense of humor when she’s ‘off duty’ but this one is a gem,” while another gushed, “Loved it.”

“Can you all just call it done after Elizabeth II?” asked one admirer. Finish it off positively.

Elizabeth has previously displayed Oscar-caliber improv abilities. When she made an appearance in a 2012 Olympics opening ceremony sketch alongside Daniel Craig as James Bond, she shocked supporters of the royal family.

The Danny Boyle-directed sketch’s co-writer, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, detailed how the sovereign yearned for a speaking part.

She told Danny Boyle, “I think I should have a line,” on the day we were filming, he said in a statement to the BBC on Friday. “She took that. She was not given a line in the play.

She made the memorable greeting, “Good evening, Mr. Bond,” to Craig’s 007 as they walked past Buckingham Palace.
