This gut-wrenching movie, which is based on a real-life event, illustrates how profound love can be as well as the lengths to which a little kid will go in order to regain a sense of connection to his mother.

Watch as Jerry, a young boy of only five years old, dials the emergency number 911 to report a crime in progress at twelve in the morning. He makes his request to the officer for assistance in locating his mother.

Heaven, but that’s what my dad told me, the little kid replies when the police asks where she is located. “Heaven,” the little boy says. As the chat progresses, we find out that the young boy’s mother passed away not long ago after a courageous fight against cancer.

The officer pays continued attention to little Jerry, and then provides him with some instruction afterward.

He instructs the young kid to acquire a red balloon, write down what he wants to say to his mother, and then release the balloon into the air. When it finally arrives in Heaven, Jerry’s mother will be able to read what was written on the balloon.

The heartwarming tale continues, and the way it develops into its stunning conclusion is just stunning.

More than a few times, I had to dab away the tears that were streaming down my face.
