Everyone has a unique experience with love and marriage, one of their most beautiful aspects. As with the link any two married partners shares, no two unions are completely alike.

For instance, my boyfriend and I cannot go more than a few hours without talking to one another. Call it corny, but we believe that life is better lived in a community to the extent that it is feasible. Of course, it’s not for everyone, but it works for us.

Sir Rod Stewart and his wife, Penny Lancaster, appear to approach things differently. In a recent interview with the Daily Mirror, legendary singer Stewart revealed the secret to his and Penny’s marriage, saying that they “often spend all day apart.”

One of the most solid marriages in the entertainment industry is that of Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster. If any couple knows the secret to a happy marriage, it is them because lasting relationships in such a setting are notoriously challenging to navigate.

The pair started dating a long time before marriage in 2007, and from all accounts, their love hasn’t faded even after all this time.

But to those who have been married for a significant period, their method of operation could seem a little out of the ordinary.

Stewart told the Daily Mirror, “We stay inside the boundaries of the house, but we don’t see each other until the evening.”

“We get out of bed, share a cup of tea, and then I go my way, and she goes hers. We are not always on top of one another, which is nice. We are in an extremely fortunate situation.

When Penny and her friend Maria Falco attended a party in 1999, Maria pushed Penny to talk to Rod.

Falco dared Lancaster, a model-turned-photographer, to shoot some pictures of the Maggie May vocalist. Lancaster agreed to the challenge.

The pair immediately fell in love and announced in 2005 that Lancaster was expecting their first child, born on November 27, 2005.

Maria Falco, a 39-year-old mother of two, died of breast cancer in the same year.

Many people claim to have introduced Rod and me, but Maria was the one who did it. When Maria spotted Rod, she dared me to approach him and get his autograph, Lancaster recalled. “…It’s still difficult to comprehend that she’s not present.

Rod is the father of eight children, while Stewart and Lancaster share two boys, Alistair and Aiden.

His 1963–1964 romance with ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey resulted in the birth of his first child, Sarah. He later wed Alana Stewart in 1979, and the two had Sean and Kimberly the following year. The singer later started dating the model Kelly Emberg, and the two went on to have a daughter, Ruby, born in 1987. From his second marriage with model Rachel Hunter, he has two kids, Renee (1992) and Liam (1994).
