The first picture and name of Robert De Niro’s newborn baby girl have been revealed.
Robert De Niro has been incredibly quiet about the pregnancy and birth of his seventh child, but he is now prepared to introduce the world to his new child.
The 79-year-old actor disclosed during a sit-down interview with Gayle King of CBS Mornings that he and partner Tiffany Chen welcomed a baby girl called Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro on April 6.
At birth, she weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces.
When De Niro corrected a reporter who asked about his six children during an interview on Tuesday, word of his newborn’s arrival spread.
Brittnee Blair from ET Canada remarked, “I know you have six kids.”
He said, “Seven.” “I’ve just had a baby.”
He didn’t offer any other information at the time.
De Niro did not divulge additional information about the newest member of his family until King’s conversation with him about his upcoming movie, About My Father.
King noted that because their interview was recorded a few days before the breaking news, De Niro’s infant was never a topic of conversation.
After hearing the news, she claims she called him and said, “Don’t you think, Mr. De Niro, you could have just mentioned that you have this baby in passing?”
De Niro retorted that he wanted the focus to remain on the movie while considering it.
He only brought it up with ET Canada because they had referred to his “six kids.”
De Niro told King, “At that time, I didn’t want to deny this baby.”
Gia has “over the moon” parents, according to King.
Along with Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, whom he has with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, De Niro is also a father to twins Julian and Aaron, 27, whom he shares with Toukie Smith, and Elliot, 24, and Helen, 11, whom he shares with Grace Hightower.
