Steve Harvey Says, ‘The God I Serve Didn’t Bring Me This Far To Leave Me’

An old adage says, “When a door closes, a window will open. You probably have heard this quote a million times before. In fact, it’s been used more than once by plenty of people.

But no matter who said this first, one thing is for sure – even though this is not a Bible verse, it surely inspires others that there is hope with faith.

Life may throw a lot of disappointments and heartaches towards you, but that should not be the reason for you to stop believing and keeping your faith in God stronger than ever. Those who have a strong faith believe that these lost dreams are God’s way of saying that there is something better intended for you.

And that you just need to have a little patience and trust that this is happening for a reason.

But one of the most heartbreaking things that may happen is losing something that you have learned to love for years. And that is exactly what happened to this all-time favorite talk show host, Steve Harvey.

His daytime talk show, “Steve” (formerly “Steve Harvey”), has aired on NBC for seven seasons/years. Still, this did not stop the network from letting him go.

What happened raised the question of whether the show was just a casualty of animosity between NBCUniversal and Endeavor’s IMG Original Content when IMG took over the show two seasons ago.

When the show was on its final season, Harvey told Variety that he was disappointed with how the network handled things regarding his show as it was replaced with “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Still, despite this sad news, Steve did not let it shadow over his faith and trust in God. In an Instagram post, he shared a video that truly inspired a lot of people.

In his video, he says, “They gon’ close the door on me in 2019. All that means for me is God has another door for me to open.” He then shares some heartfelt and inspiring words that surely made us love him even more for who he really is. According to Steve, a closed door doesn’t mean the end of everything.

He explained, “I’ve learned to accept God’s will and understand that everything that happens to me, happens to me for my good and my betterment. Because the God I serve didn’t bring me this far to leave me.”

Steve Harvey started the daytime talk show in 2012 with “The Steve Harvey Show. ” It was then co-produced by Endemol Shine North America and NBCUniversal, and distributed by NBCUniversal Television Domestic Television Distribution.

The show became one of the few new entries in the daytime slot to deliver solid and amazing ratings. During the last season of the show, it was able to achieve about 1. 8 million viewers a week.

That is why it became No. 5 among talk shows just behind “Dr. Phil,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and “Maury. ”

Even though “Steve” ended, the well-loved talk show host continues to be a regular presence on television. He is the host of “Family Feud” and was an in-demand emcee for numerous specials, including the Miss Universe pageant and Fox’s “New Year’s Eve with Steve Harvey: Live From Times Square.”
