Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s thoughts on having a third child

Recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle commemorated a momentous occasion by marking their daughter Lilibet Diana’s first birthday during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Sussexes are currently bringing up their cherished children at their home in Montecito, California, which is located in the state of California and features ample space for a growing family.

The Sussexes also have a boy named Archie who is three years old. Many royal fans will be curious as to whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will follow in the footsteps of Prince William, Harry’s older brother, and try for a third child.

However, what have the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated on the possibility of having a third child?

On the other hand, Harry, who is a doting father, has mentioned in the past that he would like to do his part for the environment by reducing the number of children he has.

During an interview given to Vogue Magazine in July 2019, the son of Prince Charles posed the following question to Dr. Jane Goodall:

“I believe that, for some strange reason, the people that I’ve met and the places that I’ve been fortunate enough to go to are the reasons why I’ve always felt a connection to and a love for the natural world.

Without a doubt, I have a different perspective on it today. But I’ve always wanted to give it a shot and see if I can make it happen, even before I had a child and was expecting to have one…”

In response, Jane chuckled and said, “Not too many!” in reference to the number of children in his family.

The Prince gave her his word “Two, maximum! But I’ve always had the impression that somebody else owns this property. And surely, being as intelligent as we all are or as evolved as we are all supposed to be, we ought to be able to pass on something more beneficial to the generation that comes after us.”

Therefore, if Harry is still of the same view, and if Meghan is on the same page as her husband, we won’t be seeing any more Sussex babies in the future. This is assuming that Meghan is on the same page as her husband.

Zara Tindall gave birth to her third child, Lucas Philip, in 2021, and she and her husband Mike announced that their family is now complete. Harry’s cousin Zara Tindall is also a member of the royal family.

Mike shared with the audience of The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby podcast what it was like for him to become a father for the first time after the birth of his son Lucas. He disclosed that: “I literally just said, “Yep, snip, snip, snip,” since I found out that I’m going to have a son. I’m out. I had to get out of here.”

On their website, Harry and Meghan announced the birth of their daughter Lilibet with the following words: “The arrival of our precious baby, Lili, on June 4th was truly a miracle in our lives.

She is more than we could have ever expected, and we will never stop being thankful for the love and prayers that people from all over the world have sent our way. During this extremely momentous time for our family, we want to thank you for the unending generosity and support you have shown us.”
