Pregnant Kelly Osbourne Justifies Her Plan To Not Breastfeed Her Future Baby

Kelly Osbourne may have gone through the toughest times of her life, but she has managed to get back up and move forward each time. Apart from being the daughter of two famous personalities, she has also appeared in a reality show at such a young age, which means she has always been in the spotlight. Despite having gone through the most difficult moments in life, Kelly always finds more reasons to live life to the fullest — and now she is set to welcome her first baby boy.

Both a singer and designer, Kelly is best known for being the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. She rose to fame through the reality TV series “The Osbournes.” She was only 17 years old when the series began in 2002, so in many ways, she had to grow up in the spotlight.

“I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life. I understand that being judged by others comes with the territory, but it broke my heart and ruined my self-esteem,” she said.

After years of battling with diets and exercise plans, she decided that 2020 was going to be the year to turn things around.

The star documented her transformation on social media — revealing she had lost an incredible 85 pounds. Osbourne commented openly about how she felt during and after the process and is now relishing in the end result.

And her life has continued to change in remarkable ways since, as she is expecting her first baby. However, Kelly has shared that she doesn’t plan on breastfeeding when she welcomes her baby.

In May 2022, Kelly found more reasons to be thankful for in life as she announced on Instagram that she is set to welcome her first baby.

“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma. To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!” she said at the time of her announcement.

In October 2022, Kelly revealed in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight that she was expecting a baby boy with her boyfriend, Sid Wilson. This is her first child.

Her dad appeared to be more excited about announcing the gender of her baby than she was as he shared the exciting news with everyone even before she had the chance to do so.

“I mean, he’s told everyone…the gender of my baby before I ever got the chance to,” Kelly told ET.

“And I’m just like, ‘Aww Dad, come on. Like, come on,’ but I will say, every single day he does this little song and this little dance about how excited he is, and he is so excited that it’s a boy. It’s the first — out of me and my brother, it’s the first boy, so, he’s like planning all these things.” she added.

Then again, Kelly couldn’t be more grateful to her parents for supporting her all the way in her pregnancy journey. With her boyfriend busy going on tours with his band members, she’s just happy to have her parents around as she goes through an exciting milestone in her life.

“I’m really, really excited,” she said. “And my parents have been incredible and been with me every step of the way on this journey, ’cause my boyfriend is in a band, they tour, so, he’s hardly been here, so, every milestone I’ve kinda gone through with my dad, and he’s been great, even though he sometimes says the wrong thing. I’ll walk into the room and he’ll go, ‘Wow, you’re big.’ and I’m like, ‘Thanks, Dad.'”

But even before she had the opportunity to tell the world about the awesome news in her new role as a first-time mom to a baby boy, Kelly received a lot of criticism for a decision she made even before her child was born.

Kelly, who appeared on the talk show Red Table, made the revelation that she won’t breastfeed her baby, which many thought is something she should think about because of the benefits her baby could get from it.

Explaining her side, Kelly said: “I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family (is wild).”

“I’m like, ‘Don’t you think I know that?’” she said. “What kind of mother am I gonna be if I start going backwards if I start being self-destructive?” she remarked.

She then reiterated that she stands by her decision because she believes it’s the right thing to do for both her and her baby. “It has to be what’s best for me, what’s gonna be the best for my baby,” she said.

In the same interview, Kelly admitted that her mom Sharon gained more respect from her after she described her pregnancy as “one of the roughest, weirdest, wildest.”
