Place An Ice Cube When Grilling Your Burgers

If you love a good hamburger, for sure you want to learn how to make your best version at home. Some would simply mix up their patty and grill them right away. But there’s a hack that you must try.

There’s another ingredient that you can add to your burger patty and for sure you already have it in your freezer. The most impressive hack will keep your patty juicy.

All you need is an ice cube!

Most people put a pat of butter on top of the burger to make it juicier. But what if you run out of butter? Well, this hack says that you can use an ice cube instead. It’s healthier and definitely a cheaper alternative.

As the cube melts, it keeps the burger moist and tender. This means that you will never have to worry about your burger patty drying out.

In fact, this trick is also used even by chefs. MasterChef judge and accomplished chef Graham Elliot does this as well. He’s been nominated for a James Beard Award three times, has opened restaurants, and has appeared on numerous TV shows. So it’s safe to say that he knows what he’s doing in the kitchen.

In an interview with Fox News, the MasterChef judge revealed that one of his tricks for making better burgers is by pressing a small ice cube into the middle of the patty before grilling it. Yes, you read it right. He uses ice cubes too!

He explained that the ice cube will prevent the burgers from overcooking. It will also make the beef extra moist. That is something that’s especially helpful if you’re grilling larger patties.

He said, “Make your patties, then put your little ice cube in there, and then when you grill it, it keeps it moist and keeps it from getting dried out.”

It’s pretty simple. What you’re going to do is take a ball of ground beef, gently press a little ice cube in the center, and form the beef around it so it’s completely sealed.

If you’re worried about the ice cubes making your burgers cold or wet, don’t. Chef Graham says that the ice melts pretty quickly so no one will even know they were there.

So the next time you grill up some burgers, try this hack. All you need is to press an ice cube right into the middle of the raw patty before grilling it. You will end up with your own version of restaurant-level juicy burgers.

Now that you’re done with your burgers, it’s time to clean the grill. And you know too well that this will be a painstakingly long process.

There’s one is a hack that you can try when cleaning your grill. All you need is to ball up a piece of aluminum foil. And while it’s still warm, scrub it into your grill to get rid of bits of meat. The foil will clean as good as a grill brush but for less money. There will also be no bits of wire left on the grate.

And for a deeper clean, slice a fresh onion and clean grill using it with cut side down. The acids in the onion will clean the grates without harsh chemicals.

We love learning a hack or two that we can use at home. These are inexpensive hacks that you might want to try at home.
