Despite being the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s love life isn’t as scandalous as one might expect. According to his ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, Jackson remained a virgin until the age of 35, despite his fame and millions of adoring female fans.
Presley, the daughter of the iconic Elvis Presley, was married to Jackson before he later married Debbie Rowe, with whom he had two children. In her posthumous memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown, Presley reveals intimate details about their relationship.
Her daughter Riley Keough, who finished the memoir after Presley’s untimely death, shares the intention behind the book. She wanted to portray her mother as a multidimensional person, beyond the superficial headlines and gossip.
Presley explains in the memoir that Jackson professed his love for her during a trip to Las Vegas, while she was still married to her then-husband Danny Keough. She recounts how Jackson won her over with his romantic gestures, and she eventually fell in love with him too.
Interestingly, Presley shares that Jackson claimed to still be a virgin at the age of 35. While he had intimate encounters with celebrities like Tatum O’Neal, Brooke Shields, and Madonna, these relationships did not progress beyond a kiss. Presley admits feeling nervous about making the wrong move with him.
However, despite their love and passion, the relationship between Jackson and Presley didn’t last. They were married for only two years before finalizing their divorce in 1996.
Sadly, both Jackson and Presley have passed away. Jackson died at the age of 50 in 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest, while Presley passed away in January 2023 due to complications from bariatric surgery.
The memoir provides a unique insight into the personal lives of these two influential figures, offering a deeper understanding of who they were beyond their public personas.
