Michael J. Fox Joins Coldplay to Play Guitar During ‘Fix You’ at the Band’s Glastonbury Set: Watch
Legendary actor Michael J. Fox rocked the stage at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. when he joined Coldplay for a special performance. The 63-year-old actor, known for his iconic role in the “Back to the Future” series, showed off his musical talent as he played the guitar alongside the band.
Introducing Fox to the crowd, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin affectionately referred to him as their “hero.” The band and Fox performed “Humankind” together before continuing with Coldplay’s hit song “Fix You.” Despite being in a wheelchair due to his battle with Parkinson’s Disease since 1991, Fox’s passion and talent shone through on stage.
This is not the first time Fox and Coldplay have collaborated. They previously performed together at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey back in 2016, where they played the famous Chuck Berry song, “Johnny B. Goode,” featured in the “Back to the Future” movies.
Coldplay made history at the Glastonbury Festival by headlining the event for the fifth time. Their electrifying performance was filled with surprises, including a guest appearance by rapper Little Simz, who debuted a new song. Martin took a moment to express his gratitude to Fox, acknowledging the impact “Back to the Future” had on his musical journey.
