Meghan Markle Spreads Joy at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles

People can’t stop talking about Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex’s latest public appearance. And this time, it was for a heartfelt cause. The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles revealed that Meghan spent time with some of the children under their care, bringing joy and laughter to their lives.

The hospital shared that Meghan’s visit marked the end of the #MakeMarchMatter campaign, and the patients and their families were treated to a special Literally Healing story time with the Duchess. The hospital also posted several photos on Instagram, showing Meghan meeting, posing, and reading to the children.

During the visit, Meghan entertained the children by reading their favorite books, including “Rosie the Riveter,” “Pete the Cat,” and “I Saw a Cat.” She even participated in activities tied to each book, helping the children explore counting, colors, problem-solving, and more.

The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles explained that the Literally Healing program is an innovative reading initiative that provides over 65,000 books to families annually. This program not only promotes literacy but also supports and strengthens patient families through therapeutic literary resources.

The impact of Meghan’s visit was evident in the comments on Instagram. People praised Meghan for her kindness and connection with both children and adults. One commenter called her an “angel,” while another described her as a “real princess.” It’s clear that Meghan’s presence made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

This appearance comes shortly after Meghan hinted at her return to Instagram. On March 14, 2024, a website and an Instagram account under the name “American Riviera Orchard” were made public. The account’s bio section proudly declares it as “by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.” Although not much is known about the website yet, reports suggest that it may resemble Meghan’s former lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she ran from 2014 to 2017.

The Tig was known for its content on food, wine, travel adventures, fashion, and more. The name of the blog was inspired by a red wine called Tignanello. Meghan explained, “Tignanello is a full-bodied red wine that I tried about seven years ago. In wine circles, it is nicknamed ‘Tig.’ It was my first moment of getting it — I finally understood what people meant by the body, structure, finish, legs of wine. The TIG is my nickname for me getting it. Not just wine, but everything.”

As of now, it remains uncertain when Meghan’s website will be live for public consumption. The homepage currently features a sign-up page for “early access” to the site. Rest assured, Mamas Uncut will keep you updated with any new information as it becomes available.
