Kurt Russell had added another feather to his cap as a doting grandfather, just when many thought he was the ideal man a woman could ever dream for, including being a fantastic father to his children and a loving spouse to his wife. And, like most grandparents, he makes the most of his time as the best grandfather to his grandchildren.

Kurt has been married to Goldie Hawn for 40 years. The couple has been together since 1983, having a first meeting when filming together in 1966. They reconnected on the set of their film “Swing Shift,” however, and have been inseparable ever since, even appearing in further films together after becoming romantically linked. However, the couple never decided to marry.

Their adorable and loving relationship is the sweetest, with the obvious affection they have for each other more akin to a group of teenage sweethearts than a couple that’s been together for four decades.

While the couple continued working prolifically in Hollywood after they got together, they also placed much importance on family. They both had children, Hawn with Oliver and Kate Hudson and Kurt with Boston Russell, whom he shares with ex-wife Season Hubley. Wyatt Russell is the couple’s only child.

With many children following in their parent’s footsteps and becoming performers, the entertainment family is frequently seen at premieres or spending quality time together, some of which they share on social media.

With such a vast and diverse family, one may wonder how everyone gets along, yet images from Hawn and Kurt on social media reveal that the family remains quite close even now.

From Hawn’s side, the couple has six grandchildren, and one grandchild from their son together. Oliver and his wife, Erinn Bartlett, have three children: Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio. Kate, on the other hand, has three children: Ryder, with Chris Robinson, and Bingham, from her former relationship with Matt Bellamy. And Rani, with musician Danny Fujikawa. Wyatt and his wife Meredith Hagner recently had a son in 2021.

Even though Kurt is not Oliver and Kate’s real father, Kate has often demonstrated that her love for her “dad” is solid and steadfast.

In July 2020, Hawn posted a photo of herself and Kurt with two of their children, promising to “take care of each other now and always.”

Kurt and Hawn have been together for so long that it only seems sensible for them to live together in the same house. They have two homes: one in Aspen, Colorado, and one in Los Angeles, California. The pair told CBS Sunday Morning in November 2020 that they had resided in their Los Angeles house for around four years. “We made it, and it’s just so fantastic,” Hawn remarked.

The home is as gorgeous on the outside and inside, thanks to its lovely garden. Hello! magazine reported that the area is large enough for the whole family to gather and has a few quirks, including a giant cow statue and a meditating section.

As a grandmother, Hawn has a lot on her plate. She frequently posts pictures of her grandchildren on her Instagram profile, and new photos of her granddaughter Rio have elicited numerous comments about how much the tiny girl resembles her “GoGo” from her younger days.

Meanwhile, Kurt is not only a wonderful father to his children, but also a devoted grandfather to his gorgeous grandchildren. Indeed, he enjoys every aspect of his duty as a grandfather, as evidenced by his numerous expressions of affection for his grandkids.

Kate, for example, uploaded a photo of Kurt and Hawn holding their grandchild in their arms in December 2018.

“Grandma and Grandpa duty…or should I say, Mr. and Mrs. Claus,” Kate captioned her Instagram image.

Kurt stated that they enjoy bonding as a family. They even have a yearly activity around Christmas.

“On Christmas Eve, we always trim the tree and have a huge lunch,” Kurt told Closer Weekly. “The grandchildren put on their pajamas and hang their stockings. We light the fire, and when it gets dark, we always have someone read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.'”

Kurt could be seen lovingly cradling his grandchild in his arms while smiling in another photo provided by Kate to commemorate Father’s Day in June 2020. The expression on his face conveyed how delighted and proud he was to be a grandfather.

“I love him to pieces. Happy Father’s Day, Pa!” Kate remarked.

Kurt pushed his grandfather’s duties to the next level in October 2022, dressing up like a royal for his granddaughter’s 4th birthday. Hawn, on the other hand, dressed as a lady. Rani Rose is their queen, according to the pair.

“Happy 4th birthday, Rani Rose. You truly are the queen! As long as the prince is always beside me, I’ll take Lady in waiting every day! We adore you!” Hawn put pen to paper.
