Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Her Divorce with Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson, the beloved singer, recently revealed that she has “no regrets” about ending her marriage with Brandon Blackstock. Despite the challenges of the divorce and an ongoing lawsuit, Clarkson is thriving. A source close to the singer shared that she’s doing really well and is happy since moving from Los Angeles to New York. She has primary custody of their children and is fully committed to being a great mom.

While Clarkson loves her work, her children remain her top priority. She is hands-on and makes sure to create a fun and loving environment for them. Although the divorce was difficult, she has recovered quickly and looks back on her decision with no regrets.

Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock were married for nearly seven years before separating in June 2020. The couple got engaged in 2012 and tied the knot the following year. During their marriage, they welcomed two children together. Clarkson filed for divorce in 2020, and the process was finalized two years later.

In an exclusive interview in January 2024, the 41-year-old pop star described her divorce as “extraordinarily hard.” She highlighted the importance of having an outlet to express her overwhelming emotions, which influenced her latest album, Chemistry.

Recently, Clarkson took legal action against Blackstock. In March 2024, she filed new documents claiming that he may owe her much more than the $2.6 million ruling in past commissions. According to Clarkson, Blackstock violated labor rules as her manager from 2017 to 2020. She is seeking a “full and complete accounting” of all financial transactions related to her career.

While Blackstock’s attorneys have not commented on the matter, Clarkson’s perseverance through these challenges is a testament to her strength and resilience.
