Little Johnny is often the target of teasing by the other boys in the neighborhood, who think he’s not too bright.

Their favorite prank involves offering Johnny a choice between a nickel and a dime. Without fail, Johnny always picks the nickel.

One day, after the usual routine, a neighbor pulls Johnny aside and says,

“Johnny, you know those boys are making fun of you, right? A dime is worth more than a nickel, even if the nickel is bigger.”

Johnny beams and replies,

“Well, if I picked the dime, they’d stop offering, and I’ve made $20 so far!”
