Hilary Swank shines while flashing her twin baby bump
This year, millions of people from all around the world celebrated Christmas. Many shared images on social media to provide a peek at the magic that filled their homes throughout the celebrations. Of course, celebrities were not immune.
They also shared photographs of their Christmas trees, family, and unwrapping gifts, but the most treasured gift has yet to arrive for one celebrity.
Hilary Swank, the Million Dollar Baby star, who has won two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, is preparing for her most important job yet, that of a mother.
The 48-year-old actress is expecting twins.
Swank revealed her pregnancy on Good Morning America in October, saying she and her husband, Philip Schneider, will be working double shifts. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time, and my next goal is to be a mother,” she wrote on Twitter. “And not just one, but two. I still can’t believe it.”
Swank recently tweeted a cute snapshot of herself posing next to her decorated Christmas tree while wearing red and white striped pajamas to show off her growing baby bulge.
“We could not have asked for a more miraculous miracle!” I am so appreciative of these two once-in-a-lifetime presents!! Merry Christmas to everybody!! I wish you all miracles in your lives, whatever form they take. “#MerryChristmas #Miracles,” the expecting mother captioned the adorable photo.
Speaking of her decision to become a mom later in life, the actress said that it was something she’s always dreamed of, but it was just a matter of timing.
“I was having a career and not having the right relationship until… four years ago, and all the elements needed to come together and be right,” she explained, and added, “It’s just something I thought about even as a young girl. It was on my mind, so it’s nice to be here and just be pregnant.”
The twins are expected to come on a memorable day for the actress.
Swank shared a touching coincidence during an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s talk show.
“You just announced that your father passed away one year ago, and this miracle is happening,” Barrymore said.
“Yeah, and they are due on his birthday,” Swank replied.
The actress received plenty of likes and comments on her adorable Christmas photo, with some of her fans saying, “Absolutely glowingly beautiful,” and “I love you!!! I’m overjoyed for you. You’ll be the best mom, I can tell. Merry Christmas to you all, and bless you!”
We are so glad Hilary Swank is having her greatest wish come true.
