He took a selfie behind the wheel, and now all the cops are looking for him

A reflection in the groom’s sunglasses led police to suspect that he was taking a selfie while ostensibly driving. The groom has been held accountable for his actions.

Pete Hemsley published the picture on Twitter, and the reflection in his aviator sunglasses gave the impression that he was driving at the time the picture was taken.

Northumbria Police’s Operation Dragoon’s traffic officers provided the following response: “Please get in touch and we’ll send you your wedding present.” £200 fine & 6 points.”

According to the Mirror, Mr. Hemsley, who formerly used the Twitter handle @Geordie aviator, has since deleted his account.

When he first joined the social networking site, he posted the following message: “Last night as a single man. As of tomorrow, he will be a married man. “Can’t wait to marry my princess @geordieprincess. She is very gorgeous.”

Other individuals on Twitter were quick to voice their disapproval of Mr. Hemsley’s comments.

Matthew Clements has stated that “people like these wind up destroying people’s life as a result of their own ignorance.”

Using a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle results in a standard penalty of six points and a fine of £200.

Offenders may also be hauled to court, where they may be disqualified from driving and fined up to the equivalent of one thousand pounds.

A member of the police force issued the following statement through a spokesman: “Northumbria Police have been made aware of an individual using a mobile phone whilst driving after receiving a tip from social media.”

“Follow-up investigations into the incident are currently being carried out,” the sentence begins.
