Gregory Peck’s Grandson: Following in His Famous Footsteps

Becoming an actor can often be easier when talent runs in the family. Ethan Peck, the grandson of the legendary Gregory Peck, has not only inherited his grandfather’s talented genes but also his striking good looks. Yes, you read that right: this young actor is the spitting image of his iconic grandfather.

Gregory Peck, born in San Diego in 1916, went on to become one of the greatest actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood. His remarkable acting skills, captivating looks, and resonant voice made him an unforgettable figure in cinema. His choice of films to star in was impeccable, showcasing his impeccable taste.

Unlike many stars today, Gregory Peck had a soul and a class that is often lacking in Hollywood nowadays. His career began in the theater before making his silver screen debut in the war-romance film Days of Glory in 1944. However, it was his role as an 80-year-old Roman Catholic priest in The Keys of the Kingdom that truly propelled his career. This powerful tale of faith and love earned Peck a nomination for Best Actor at the Academy Awards.

Peck’s career continued to soar as he collaborated with the legendary director Alfred Hitchcock in Spellbound and The Paradine Case. Despite Hitchcock’s unconventional directing style, Peck’s talent shone through, leading to five Academy Award nominations for Best Actor. It was his portrayal of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird that finally earned him the coveted Oscar, solidifying his position as one of the greatest actors of his time. Peck appeared in several other remarkable movies such as Moby DickThe Big Country, and How the West Was Won.

Beyond his acting prowess, Peck was also known for his humanitarian efforts. In 1969, he was honored by President Lyndon B. Johnson with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his lifetime dedication to humanitarian causes.

Family and Legacy

Peck married Greta Kukkonen in 1942, and they had three sons together: Jonathan, Stephen, and Carey Paul. Stephen, a Vietnam veteran and former President and CEO of U.S. VETS, is Ethan Peck’s father. After his divorce from Greta in 1955, Gregory Peck found love with news reporter Véronique Passani. They raised a son, Antony, and a daughter, Cecilia, together. Peck and Véronique remained together until his death in 2003.

The Next Generation: Ethan Peck

It seems that acting talent runs in the Peck family, as it skipped a generation and landed firmly in Gregory Peck’s grandson, Ethan Gregory Peck. Born in 1986, Ethan made his first appearance on TV at the tender age of nine as a co-star in the film Marshall Law. He went on to star in popular shows like That ’70s Show and movies such as Passport to Paris and Tennessee.

Apart from his acting skills, Ethan bears a striking resemblance to his famous grandfather. With strong dark eyebrows and captivating eyes, he has inherited George’s irresistible look. Despite not having had as close a relationship with his grandfather as he would have liked, Ethan recognizes the impact Gregory Peck has had on his career.

In 2009, Ethan’s talent was officially recognized when he won “Best Actor” at the Sonoma International Film Festival for his role in Adopt a Sailor. He has since made a mark in the television series Star Trek: Discovery and is set to reprise his role in the spin-off Star Trek: Strange New World in 2022.

While being Gregory Peck’s grandson comes with immense expectations, Ethan maintains that he doesn’t feel the weight of his grandfather’s legacy.

Ethan Peck

He credits his deep connection to his father, Stephen Peck, for instilling in him the qualities that Gregory Peck is famous for. Ethan Peck is undoubtedly a rising star in his own right, and we eagerly anticipate his future projects.
