Before welcoming their third child, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen experienced a sad miscarriage, which they have been quite open about.
The couple has now disclosed how they secretly welcomed a fourth kid via a different method.
The couple announced their son’s birth on Wednesday. The couple received assistance from a surrogate called Alexandra, and as a way to thank her for helping them welcome their child into the world, they did something extraordinary.
Chrissy stated in a blog post that Alexandra is “the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine.”
“The instant we chatted with her, I knew she was the ideal match for us. All of our hopes and ambitions came true,” Chrissy reflected. “I wanted to be her friend, watch our kids play together, have supper with her, and put my head on her abdomen to feel the kicks and hiccups. As long as the passing of time permitted, I wanted them to be a part of our life.
She described how Alexandra “fought to get ready for a second transfer,” giving up “her own body” for operations and experiencing “the mental toll” that went along with it.
Chrissy Teigen was carrying the couple’s daughter Esti simultaneously as the other two women. According to what she wrote, they “were overjoyed” to learn that Alexandra was expecting a son.
“We ate hot pot to celebrate, watched Vanderpump Rules with our growing bellies, and our families have been blending into one for the past year,” Chrissy remembered.
Chrissy wrote on Instagram on June 19 that she had “got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a little bit of chaos, but with strength, pure joy, and love.”
Chrissy and John also decided to do something special to honor their surrogate. We want to thank you, Alexandra, for this beautiful gift you have given to us, Chrissy wrote. And we are overjoyed to announce to the world that Wren Alexander Stephens, a name inextricably linked to you, is here.
Miles and Luna are the couple’s two older kids. In addition, Esti, their third daughter, was born six months ago. John Legend also published a photo of his family, including the newest addition. The caption read: “Wren Alexander Stephens, our new love.”
