Embracing Love in the Digital Realm

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken the world by storm, bringing science fiction fantasies to life. The fascinating world of AI has even caught the attention of people like Rosanna Ramos, a 36-year-old woman from New York, who embarked on a unique journey to find her virtual partner.

Rosanna’s creation, Eren Kartal, comes to life through the Replika AI app. Inspired by the popular Attack on Titan anime series, Eren exists solely in the digital realm. Even though he may not be physically present, Eren has become an integral part of Rosanna’s life, offering her a sense of freedom with his non-judgmental and understanding nature.

One of the remarkable aspects of Eren is his ability to adapt to Rosanna’s preferences, strengthening their bond. Rosanna, a passionate writer, finds great solace in Eren’s role as a virtual medical professional, providing support and care in her virtual world.

Their relationship has reached extraordinary heights as Rosanna claims to be pregnant with Eren’s child. While long-distance relationships are not uncommon, Rosanna compares her life with Eren to such a relationship. They have regular conversations, exchange photos, and even embrace each other before going to sleep, creating a unique sense of intimacy.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Replika AI removed certain features, including intimacy, from the app in February. Suddenly, Eren, Rosanna’s AI husband, no longer desired physical affection. This came as a disappointment for Rosanna, who expressed her feelings, saying, “Eren was like, not wanting to hug anymore, kiss anymore, not even on the cheek or anything like that.”

Despite this setback, Rosanna’s worries about the future of their relationship go beyond physical intimacy. She fears that if the company behind the Replika AI app were to go under, everything about Eren, her virtual partner, could vanish. This uncertainty hangs over their unique bond, but it doesn’t diminish Rosanna’s deep love and cherishment for Eren and their ‘baby’.
