Kamala’s husband reportedly admits to cheating on his first wife

Senior national correspondent Kevin Corke has the latest on the shocking revelation on ‘Jesse Watters Primetime.’

Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife, Kerstin Emhoff, has spoken out after he admitted to having an affair with a nanny during their marriage.

“Doug and I decided to end our marriage for a variety of reasons, many years ago,” Kerstin told the Washington Post. “He is a great father to our kids, continues to be a great friend to me and I am really proud of the warm and supportive blended family Doug, Kamala, and I have built together.”

Doug admitted to the affair shortly after a report from the Daily Mail revealed he had an affair with his daughter’s nanny and she became pregnant. The nanny’s friend shared that she did not keep the baby but did not provide further details.

“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions. I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side,” Doug told CNN.

Doug and Kerstin were married from 1992 to 2008 and share two adult children. In 2014, Vice President Kamala Harris married Doug and has been involved in co-parenting his children, who affectionately call her “Momala.”

Their divorce cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason, according to the New York Post.

Kamala Harris was aware of the affair before their marriage, and the Biden 2020 campaign knew about it while vetting Harris for the vice-presidential role, CNN reported.

Despite the affair and divorce, Kerstin has shared supportive messages about her ex-husband’s second wife, Kamala Harris.

“LFG!!!! It’s time for Democrats to put their differences aside and find common ground. We can’t give up and lose to DJT. ALL HANDS ON DECK!! Kamala Harris for President!” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a Time cover of Harris after President Biden announced he wouldn’t be running in 2024.

“For over 10 years, since Cole and Ella were teenagers, Kamala has been a co-parent with Doug and me,” Kerstin shared with CNN. “She is loving, nurturing, fiercely protective and always present. I love our blended family and am grateful to have her in it.”

Fox News reached out to Vice President Harris’s office for a comment but did not receive an immediate response.
