Couple With 14 Kids Has 4 Sets Of Multiples Back-To-Back — All Conceived Naturally
Many couples want to have a big family. One of them is Karen and Deon Derrico. However, they never thought of having 14 kids – four sets of multiples, back-to-back!
The Las Vegas couple first had their daughter Darian. Then Derrick was born a couple of years later. They wished to have more kids and this is when their first twins came – Dallas and Denver.
The couple was not surprised at all that they were having twins at that time because both of them also came from large families with multiples.
Deon said, “Having four sets of multiples back to back. It’s like getting struck by lightning while getting struck by lightning.”
A couple of years later, they were shocked to know that they were having another multiple. This time, the couple is expecting not two, but four babies!
But before they came around to the reality that they are having four babies, the doctor called them back into the hospital room. The doctor told them that they discovered that another baby was hiding behind Karen’s breastbone. That means that the couple is not having quadruplets, but quintuplets.
The couple is determined that they will carry each of these babies close to full-term. And when it was time for Karen to give birth, her doctors were amazed and blown away that she safely delivered each one of them without any complications.
After the quintuplets, the couple had another two sets of twins. And now, they are having triplets and they are all excited. Karen said, “Now I’m pregnant again with triplets. ” When asked about having 14 children, Deon said, “Many parents know with just one child, two children, it’s a job.
But when you have a soon-to-be 14, it’s a job. ” Karen also added, “We have our good days and our bad days. But there’s always enough love. ”

TLC is launching a reality show that features the Derricos – Doubling Down with the Derricos on August 11. This show will follow the couple as they raise the quintuplets, triplets, and their two sets of twins. There are 14 of them under one roof so people are interested to know what really happens inside their home.
