Chris Combs’ ‘1000-lb Sisters’ Star Chris Combs’ ‘Rewarding’ Weight Loss Journey Is Documented in Before-and-After Photos

The TLC television show “1000-lb Sisters” has become a guilty pleasure for many people in the United States and anyone in other countries who can watch it. It’s a show about Amy and Tammy Slaton, sisters who once weighed over 1,000 pounds together and have always relied on each other for support. The television show depicts the difficulties of living as morbidly obese women while trying to find their path to health and happiness.

The show “1000-lb Sisters,” like “My 600-lb Life,” has a fan base of people cheering on Amy and Tammy as they navigate weight loss and other life obstacles, particularly those related to their health. While many people have grown to adore the sisters for their sense of humor and their relationship with one another, others have expressed concern about how unmotivated the sisters appear to be at times to care for themselves and take their health situation seriously truly.

Each season depicts the difficult lives of Amy and Tammy, two overweight sisters. The two navigate their relationship as well as their personal lives, all while pursuing their individual weight loss goals.

Many people from Tammy and Amy’s lives are also featured in the show, including their brother Chris Combs. While fans have enjoyed following Amy and Tammy’s weight loss journeys over the years, they were pleasantly surprised to see Combs demonstrate his health journey. In April 2022, the reality star shared before-and-after photos that stunned “1000-lb Sisters” fans.

Combs has been committed to his journey toward a healthier lifestyle. “I just want to touch my toes,” Combs said in a TLC YouTube video in which he was stretching.

He explained that he tried to do “some sort of exercise” every day and to make each meal “as healthy” as possible. “It’s a real struggle,” he admitted. All these steps were taken to lose weight and demonstrate dedication before Combs underwent weight loss surgery.

He explained why he wanted to change his lifestyle:

“I want this surgery mainly because my father died when I was 57. He weighed between 400 and 500 pounds. I’m 41 years old, and I want to be around to see my children and grandchildren grow up. I want to be able to pass on everything I know to them. I want to be available for my family. They are my entire world.”

Combs was ready to show off his new physique and “that a fat boy got a suit” four months after undergoing weight loss surgery. He stated that he had lost approximately 70 pounds, making him approximately 140 pounds lighter than his heaviest weight. Combs began at 482 pounds and worked his way down to 339 pounds.

“The distinction is between night and day,” he explained. Furthermore, Combs’ blood sugar levels had “leveled off,” and he no longer required insulin.

Combs posted before-and-after photos to his Instagram account to an audience of ecstatic fans, with the caption:

“I’d say that this has been the most difficult but most rewarding journey I’ve ever undertaken.”
