A month after initially disclosing her pregnancy, Britney Spears released a sorrowful announcement in which she claimed she had lost her “wonder baby.”

The singer, 40, revealed the tragic news in a note uploaded to her Instagram account on Saturday. The couple, who got engaged last month, had previously announced they were expecting their first child together.

The note said, “It is with the deepest grief that we must report that we have lost our miraculous baby early in the pregnancy.”

“Any parent would find this to be a horrible situation. We probably should have held off until we were farther along, but we were too happy to keep the wonderful news to ourselves.

The couple declared that they will continue trying to conceive.

“Our strength is in our affection for one another.” We’ll keep working to grow our lovely family. We appreciate all of your help. Please respect our need for privacy at this trying time.

Britney and her fiance put their signatures on the message.

She captioned the photo, “We are grateful for what we have while growing our beautiful family.” “We appreciate your support.”

Sam left the following remark on Britney’s post: “We will have a miracle soon (red heart emoji)” Sam also shared the statement to his account.

Britney revealed her pregnancy on Instagram last month.

She wrote at the time, “I dropped so much weight to go on my Maui trip just to gain it back.” I believed “Geez … Why did my stomach suddenly feel sick?” “No you’re food pregnant fool,” my husband exclaimed. I thus took a pregnancy test. And, so, I’m expecting a baby.

“… 4 days later, I started eating a bit more while pregnant. It’s expanding!! If there are two there, I fear I might lose it.

Jayden, 15, and Sean, 16, are Britney’s only children from her first marriage to Kevin Federline.

Over the past three weeks, the Toxic singer has been updating followers on her pregnancy via Instagram.

She recently talked about her mood swings and appetites in a post.

Sam and Spears first collaborated on her music video Slumber Party in October 2016, and they shortly started dating.

At the end of September 2021, they got engaged.

Britney claimed last year that during the 13 years of her conservatorship, which ended in November, she was forced to use birth control.

Britney openly came out against her conservatorship during a court hearing in June of last year, claiming that the oppressive system she has been put under has “traumatized” her.

I’m not happy, and I can’t sleep, she declared. I’m so furious it’s crazy. Also, I’m down. I’ve been traumatized. All I want is my life back.

“I don’t want to be judged. I want to terminate this conservatorship. More harm than good is being done to me by this conservatorship. I’ve worked my entire life, so I deserve to enjoy a life. I merit a break of two to three years.

The singer of the successful song “Sometimes” said that her conservatorship team and her father had forbidden her from getting married to or having children with her partner.

Even though Britney wanted to “get married and have a baby,” she said her conservators forced her to get an IUD as a form of birth control thus she is currently unable to have children.

I have an IUD inside of me to prevent pregnancy, but [my team] does not want me to have any more kids, she continued.

The celebrity termed her circumstances “abusive” and demanded that her father and those in charge of her conservatorship be “jailed.”

They require me to visit a psychiatrist and treatment three times per week, she raged.

“I genuinely think this conservatorship is wrong.” I don’t believe I am capable of living a complete life. I don’t want to travel to Westlake, so I want the therapist to come to my house in the interim. They set me up by placing me in the most vulnerable situations. You must assist me.

“My dad and everybody connected to this conservatorship, including my management, they ought to be in jail,” the speaker said.

Jamie Spears’ legal team insisted that he “loves his daughter very much” in a statement following Britney’s virtual court appearance.
