Aside from love, respect is one of the most important things that every husband and wife should have for each other. If you love someone, then you should respect them, whether you agree or disagree with them. They say that when the person starts to disrespect you, the love starts to disappear as well.

During a wedding ceremony in Kuwait, a couple got divorced three minutes after they got married.

According to the local media, the bride tripped while on their way out of the courthouse just after they tied the knot. And in front of their guests, the husband suddenly called her “stupid. ” The woman felt ridiculed and disrespected.

She got so angry that she went back to the judge and asked her to nullify the marriage. Q8 News reports that the judge did agree to her demands and granted her the divorce.

Because of this, the couple’s three-minute marriage is the shortest that is ever recorded in the history of Kuwait!

Reactors online deduced that maybe the relationship of this couple was already on the rocks. And the behavior of the groom that day was just the last straw for the bride. Plenty of women applauded her for her bravery. They even congratulated her for making the decision.

One Twitter user wrote, “If she was my daughter or sister I would certainly encourage her to do so.” Another user wrote, “You go girl, smart woman!”

Others also believe that if this is how the groom acts at the beginning of the marriage, then it is better to just leave him than to live in a marriage with no respect. How he reacted surely depicts that this relationship is a failure right from the start.

When it comes to short marriages, celebrities are not new to this. If you forgot, Kim Kardashian West’s 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humpries in May 2011. A lot of people thought that their marriage was only a stunt and they only want to gain public attention.

But according to Insider, Kim wrote in her official blog post: “First and foremost, I married for love.

I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show. ”

Another couple that gained public attention for their short marriage is Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon. They got married in October 2007 in Las Vegas and they filed for divorce on December 14 that year. That means that they were married for only 60 days.

They stated, “Public divorces can be harsh and cruel — we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused — we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on.”

They added, “There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well.”

Another short marriage was with Britney Spears with her childhood friend Jason Alexander. When other marriages lasted for days, Spears and Alexanders’ lasted for only 55 hours.

They tied the know in Vegas in 2004 and during her interview, later on, she said that the she should be blamed for being silly, rebellious, and for not taking the responsibility for what she was doing.
