Ayesha and Stephen Curry Announce Early Birth of Their 4th Baby, a Boy: ‘He’s Doing Great’
Ayesha Curry and Stephen “Steph” Curry are now a joyful family of six!
The well-known couple shared the delightful news of their fourth child’s early arrival on Instagram this past Sunday, May 26. Their new bundle of joy, a baby boy named Caius Chai, was born prematurely on May 11 but is doing splendidly.
“Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!” Steph, 36, expressed in a heartfelt caption accompanying a tender black-and-white photo of the newborn’s tiny hand being held.
“Caius Chai 5/11/24” the NBA star noted to conclude the touching announcement.
Though welcoming their son early, both parents seemed in high spirits. Ayesha, 35, who had posted engaging content with her daughter Ryan just days before Caius’ birth, looked happy and relaxed. She shared pictures from a nature hike with Ryan on May 8, captioning them, “Hikes with my Chookas. My nature girl.”.
The celebrity chef and founder of Sweet July had initially announced her pregnancy in March. The announcement, made on the cover of her magazine, revealed the surprise and joy both she and Steph felt when they realized they wanted to expand their family once more. They had initially thought their family was complete before experiencing a sense that “somebody was missing” from their lives.
With the arrival of Caius, the Curry children — Riley Elizabeth, 11, Ryan Carson, 8, and Canon W. Jack, 5 — are now even more excited. Ayesha remarked how fascinating it has been to witness her children’s different reactions to her pregnancy. “Getting to experience this through [Canon’s] eyes and through Ryan and Riley’s eyes has been so cool,” she shared, describing it as “the most exciting thing.”
Adding to the excitement, Steph shared with the Associated Press that they tried to align their son’s birth around his busy schedule, particularly around his expected participation in the Paris Olympics.
