At the ceremony for Blake Shelton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star, Gwen Stefani refers to him as her “dream come true.”

Blake Shelton has firmly established himself as a Hollywood celebrity.

The 46-year-old Voice coach and country artist received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Friday morning in a ceremony attended by his loved ones.

The couple’s wedding officiant Carson Daly, Shelton’s wife Gwen Stefani, and Adam Levine also made speeches at the gathering.

Onstage, Stefani, 53, said, “You are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream. That is why Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.” Everyone understands that you are my fantasy come true. I cherish you.

The No Doubt singer said, “it blows my mind to be here today” as Shelton received a star, adding that she and “the boys,” who she was referring to as her sons Kingston, 16, Zuma, 14, and Apollo, 9, “could not be more proud.”

Stefani then recalled Shelton’s early years in a little town in Oklahoma and how he was always at heart a country guy, frequently spending the entire day playing in the woods.

No one is more genuine than this guy. He is a country music devotee to the core. His DNA makes him a country music jukebox, she claimed. He hasn’t done anything because he wanted to be a star; he was born to do this. Simply put, he has always been a star.

The rock star listed off Shelton’s many successes, including his numerous No. 1 singles and his time on The Voice, and said that throughout his entire life, Shelton had only ever wanted to be a country singer.

Everyone feels like they know Blake Shelton everywhere we go because he is honest, humble, and sincere, she claimed. “Blake, you are a unique human being. Despite all of your accomplishments as a musician, actor, comedian, singer, composer, performer, and businessman throughout your life, he remains the same person he was before. a local with a passion for country music. He is endearing, the most giving guy you will ever meet, and he is always him. Everywhere he goes, he spreads joy and laughter by telling jokes.

Shelton proclaimed with pride, “That’s my wife,” as Stefani finished her statement, and they then hugged and kissed.

Later, in his address, the “God’s Country” singer lauded Stefani and declared that marrying her was the best thing he had ever done.

“This is just icing on the cake,” he remarked, “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen.”

Levine and Daly also paid tribute to their friend, with the lead singer of Maroon 5 making light of the fact that he became famous far earlier than Shelton.

“Blake spoke at the ceremony for my star induction six years ago. back six years. I acquired it six years before you, which is how many years ago, he joked. “Blake… ’13 is the 2017 Sexiest Man Alive. He waited four years to obtain it. Before you did it, I already did everything you did.

Later, Levine adopted a more serious tone in his remarks, assuring the country singer that he was “really proud” of his most recent accomplishment.

Levine remarked, “I love you, and I’m proud of you, even if you’re an idiot in so many ways. It’s a pleasure to be here for you because this is a major deal, and I love you, dude.”

The musician urged Daly to receive a star on the Walk of Fame as he concluded his address. Blake, you are nearly illiterate, but we love you, I love you, America loves you, and whether you like it or not, Hollywood loves you, Daly said as he took the stage on Shelton’s behalf.

Shelton, a loving stepfather to Stefani’s sons, has gathered over 11 billion global streams over his career and won 28 No. 1 country singles. He has also sold over 13 million albums.

Additionally, he has won numerous accolades, including six ACMs, ten CMAs, and eleven CMTs. He developed his country music career before becoming The Voice’s breakthrough star, captivating audiences with his humor as a coach.

Shelton will leave the show after 23 seasons and nine champions to spend more time with his family.

“The only thing I would risk if I left my profession at this point would be regretting losing out on the more significant aspects of life. Those are our children right now. In December of last year, Shelton said that he had changed his priorities and that this was no longer about him and never would be.

“Even though I’m a stepparent, I treat that role with the utmost respect. He continued that the children view me as a very significant figure in their lives. ‘Why isn’t Blake here?’ they inquire, I pay attention to that stuff. I’ve made much money, but time cannot be bought. I want to be regret-free.

He isn’t entirely giving up music or television, though. His celebrity game program Barmageddon on the USA Network was recently renewed for a second season.

We wanted to create a real-life version of The Hangover, Shelton previously told PEOPLE. “We wanted to try and capture that in a TV show with people we know.”
