Aerosmith Cancels Tour Dates: Steven Tyler’s Health Update

Oh no! Aerosmith fans, we have some disappointing news for you. Steven Tyler, the lead singer of Aerosmith, recently shared some unfortunate news about his health on Instagram. Doctors have advised him to take a break from singing for the next 30 days due to severe damage to his vocal cords. This means that six of their final tour dates for Peace Out: The Farewell Tour have been postponed until early 2024.

In an official statement, Aerosmith expressed their disappointment about having to postpone the shows. Steven Tyler himself shared his heartbreak, explaining that the vocal cord damage occurred during a recent performance and caused subsequent bleeding.

But fear not, Aerosmith is determined to give their fans the performance they deserve. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, and refunds will be available for those who are unable to attend. If you have any questions about refunds, make sure to contact your point of purchase.

Aerosmith’s Peace Out: The Farewell Tour was announced on May 1st and was supposed to include 40 dates. However, due to the recent postponements, the tour will now finish at a later date. Good news though, Aerosmith will resume their tour on Monday, October 11th. So mark your calendars and get ready for an epic show!

We must commend Aerosmith for embarking on a farewell tour, especially considering the ages of its members. Steven Tyler turned 75 years old in March, and the toll of a 40-show tour on his body is unimaginable. But despite that, Steven’s determination to give his fans an unforgettable experience is truly admirable. It just shows the selfless character he has displayed throughout his career.

Apart from their incredible music career, Aerosmith and Steven Tyler have also shown their philanthropic side. In 2019, Steven Tyler helped establish “Janie’s House,” a home for abused and neglected girls. He donated a generous $500,000 to renovate the 82-acre building located just outside of Memphis. The name “Janie’s House” was inspired by Aerosmith’s hit song from 1989, “Janie’s Got a Gun.” This safe space aims to provide these women with a place to heal and find refuge in times of need.

As fans, let’s hope for a swift recovery for Steven Tyler so that he can get back on his feet and continue doing what he does best – mesmerizing audiences with his timeless music and incredible performances! The show must go on, and we can’t wait to see Aerosmith back on stage soon!
