A mother alleges that following a mummy makeover in Turkey, she was left battling for her life.

Tracy Marriott, 45, from Eastbourne, East Sussex, traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, for a tummy tuck and boob operation in the hopes that it would boost her self-confidence. Tracy was referred to the affordable surgeon by her friends.

The mother of three thought she would return to the UK transformed, but shortly after the £5,000 treatment, she alleges she was left with a lung infection that was life-threatening and huge holes in her breasts.

Tracy, a full-time caregiver for her six-year-old son Daniel, shares her experience to caution people who are thinking about getting inexpensive cosmetic procedures abroad to do their research on the clinic.

“I was pretty much out of it after the surgery and felt I was going to die,” Tracy recalled.

Tracy, a full-time caregiver for her six-year-old son Daniel, shares her experience to caution people who are thinking about getting inexpensive cosmetic procedures abroad to do their research on the clinic.

“I was pretty much out of it after the surgery and felt I was going to die,” Tracy recalled.

The combined surgery cost £5,000, and the initial plan called for me to fly there and spend five days in the hospital. However, I wound up needing to schedule a second journey since I was so ill, and my husband, Dan, also went out to assist me in returning home.

“I was in a lot of discomfort and was having problems breathing after the procedure.

“I didn’t receive a lot of information about what was happening to me, and I hadn’t even had a chance to examine the results of my surgery.

“I was in excruciating pain, and one day they took me down for a kind of x-ray without explaining what was wrong with my health other than the fact that my blood levels were abnormal.

“I thought I was going to die and I wouldn’t get back to them.

My mother video phoned me when I was in the hospital and said she hardly recognized me because I appeared to be so ill.

Tracy underwent surgery that reduced her size 18 body to a size 14 and boosted the size of her bra from a 36DD to a 36FF.

She wasn’t anticipating the startling outcomes, which left her with a massive jagged scar over her tummy and enormous holes in both of her breasts.

Tracy continues, “When I finally recovered and took a flight home, I went to the NHS right away, and they were astounded by the amount, type, and method of stitching.

I also have a lung infection, the doctor added.

I pounded on one one day not long after, and another hole with all this stuff that poured out appeared.

“I was pleasantly astonished that there was no infection, yet I was nonetheless given an IV and taken right to the hospital.”

“I’m incredibly appreciative of their duty of care and assistance they provided me, and I’m sure they’re used to seeing it.

“I knew I would have a scar, but the one across my stomach caught me off guard; it didn’t feel right.

The hospital attempted to convince me that this was simply how my body was mending, but that simply isn’t the case.

Tracy says she feels lot better today after going through the process and having her treatment altered in Belgium.

“It was wrong for the doctor to recommend additional procedures as I genuinely believed I was going to pass away,” she added.

“I just advise folks to do as much research as they can. For the majority of individuals, surgery can be very worth it.

“I think the adage “you get what you pay for” is true.”
