A Grandma and Her Young Husband Plan to Start a Family Together
Age gaps in relationships can sometimes be quite significant. But for one couple, the age difference is truly extraordinary. Meet Cheryl McGregor, a 61-year-old grandmother, and her 24-year-old husband, Quran McCain. What’s more, both of them are TikTok stars!
An Unusual Love Story
Quran and Cheryl’s love story is far from ordinary. Cheryl, who is a mother of seven, and Quran, who was just 15 at the time, first crossed paths while working at a Dairy Queen. Although they didn’t have romantic feelings for each other back then, fate had something else in store for them.
In 2020, Quran, now working as a caretaker, spotted Cheryl working as a cashier. This chance encounter reignited their feelings, and they soon fell in love. The couple tied the knot in 2021 and embarked on their journey together.
Dreaming of Parenthood
Now that Cheryl and Quran are happily married and settled, they have set their sights on starting a family of their own. Quran recently shared their plans and options for having a child in an interview with Metro.
“We got married in September 2021, and after a few months, we felt ready to start a family. Cheryl, who is 61 years old, already has seven children and seventeen grandchildren. However, we believe that we deserve children of our own. Due to Cheryl’s age, we have been exploring the options of surrogacy or adoption. We lean towards surrogacy, but we want to ensure that the surrogate is not involved in the child’s life after birth. We don’t want anyone doing this for financial gain; we simply want to bring a child into our loving home.”
If they choose adoption, Cheryl and Quran have a specific preference. They would like the baby to come from biracial parents, one black and one white, to ensure that the child feels truly accepted and loved as their own. Unfortunately, Cheryl’s daughters cannot act as surrogates as both have had hysterectomies.
Ready for Parenthood
Both Cheryl and Quran understand that becoming parents later in life will come with its own set of challenges. However, they are fully prepared and committed to embracing this new chapter.
Cheryl said, “While I may not be around as long as Quran, I have complete faith in him. He will be a fantastic father because he is responsible and caring. Initially, our family had concerns, but now five of my children have accepted our decision, and even my mother-in-law joins us in making videos together.”
Despite the significant age gap, the couple claims to have a fulfilling sex life and a genuine connection.
