Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Has Changed

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the youngest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children, was born a minute after Knox (via People). Vivienne and Knox, the twins Angelina and Brad sold for $14 million, are already teenagers.

With parents like Brad and Angelina, who dominated the entertainment business, you would expect their children to want to act. Most of the Jolie-Pitt kids have only had small roles, though. Vivienne, the youngest Jolie-Pitt sibling, has a lot to reveal.

Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt were born in Nice, France, on July 12, 2008. “The infants are, as history indicates, true Niçois,” Nice mayor Christian Estrosi told Nice-Matin (via People) after the twins’ birth.

Vivienne has a meaningful middle name. Angelina’s mother’s middle name was Vivienne Marcheline. This honored Angelina’s mother, who died of ovarian and breast cancer in 2007.

Angelina wrote on losing her mother for The New York Times. “My mum died in my thirties,” she wrote. “Her death altered me. Though gradual, much changed within. Losing a mother is like losing a blanket.”

Discovering you’re pregnant twins must be an emotional rollercoaster. Angelina told Entertainment Weekly that she and Brad were surprised to have twins (via People). Brad’s family was happy to help with the kids, so the couple had wonderful support.

In 2022, Hollywood Life released images of fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox enjoying frozen yogurt with pals in Los Angeles on a beautiful day. Anyone who has seen “The Parent Trap” has probably wished they had a twin sibling as a best friend.

According to the Student Psychology Journal, twin siblings have a stronger link and like each other more than non-twin siblings, so it’s no wonder they get along so well.

In the 2014 film “Maleficent,” Angelina Jolie plays a horrible fairy seeking revenge, while Vivienne plays young princess Aurora.

Angelina told Vanity Fair, “Our kids enjoy cameos and joining us on set, but not acting. Brad and I don’t want that. The other three- and four-year-old performers wouldn’t touch me. A child who liked me and didn’t fear my horns, eyes, and claws was needed. Thus Viv.” Pax and Zahara, Vivienne’s siblings, were also extras.

In 2016, Angelina told Newsweek that Zahara was learning French and Knox was learning sign language. Vivienne learned Arabic at 8. Vivienne overachieved in Arabic, one of the hardest languages to master!

Her mom’s love of travel and culture may have sparked Vivienne and her siblings’ interest in other languages. Vivienne gets to learn about the world from her three adoptive siblings:

Maddox from Cambodia, Zahara from Ethiopia, and Pax from Vietnam. Angelina told the Financial Times in 2011 that she encourages her children to learn from each other.

Vivienne and her siblings left Lycée Français to homeschool (Romer). Angelina and the family’s jet-setting lifestyle suited homeschooling more than Lycée Français’ foreign campuses. “Get the school work done as quickly as possible because let’s go out and explore,” Angelina Jolie told the Daily Mail in 2011.

At a movie screening, Angelina said she wanted her children to have a better education than she had “”First They Killed My Father” (via People), “It upset me how little I was taught in school.

My kids’ schooling worries me.” “I homeschool mainly because kids are from around the world and it’s quite… I didn’t want them to have the same education I had when it came to Vietnam or Cambodia,” she said, emphasizing the necessity of a well-rounded education.

Angelina prefers her children to pursue their own hobbies. “I’d rather kids go to a museum, learn to play guitar, read, and pick a book they love,” Jolie remarked.

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt has supported her mother’s acting at occasions like the 2021 “Eternals” premiere. Vivienne, Knox, Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh attended for their mom in their best red carpet clothing.

Angelina’s Marvel role pleased Vivienne and her siblings. “What’s incredibly meaningful to me is that they want to see me strong,” Angelina stated.

Vivienne and her siblings have supported their mom before. They also attended “Dumbo,” “Kung Fu Panda 3,” and “First They Killed My Father” premieres.

Since “Maleficent,” Vivienne Jolie-Pitt hasn’t acted. In 2016, Angelina remarked of Vivienne and her siblings, “They’re becoming whoever they want.” That seems unrelated to acting (via Newsweek).

Angelina stated, “Thank God, none of my kids want to be actresses” (via Newsweek). She added that the kids like music and languages.

Angelina would encourage Vivien’s acting career. The actress told People in 2021, “I live with six unique people. I’m delighted about all their stages, sentiments, and curiosities. We should assist them discover themselves. Without enthusiastic development, you won’t know who they are.”

Vivienne lost a pet during the pandemic. “During the lockdown, Vivienne’s rabbit passed away during a surgery,” Angelina Jolie told Harper’s Bazaar, explaining her daughter’s hardship.

Angelina claimed they adopted two disabled bunnies to cope with pet loss. “Pairs,” she said. “They’re gentle and it’s let me focus on their care with her.”

Vivienne likes more than just bunnies. Chipmunks plagued Angelina’s Cambodian home. Vivienne didn’t care. Angelina told Harper’s Bazaar that chipmunks had moved in (via Cosmopolitan). Vivienne told us to hide the wires and leave them.

While shopping in Los Angeles, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt was mistaken for her older sister Shiloh, despite their contrasting fashions and two-year age difference. The brothers’ honey-blonde hair and prominent cheekbones make them easy to confuse. They share more than looks.

Both were born abroad—Shiloh in Namibia and Vivienne in France, according to the South China Morning Post. Both have meaningful names. Vivienne’s middle name, Marcheline, is Angelina’s mother’s, and Shiloh’s is too.

“It’s biblical but we didn’t name her for that,” the actor told Vanity Fair (via People). “My parents almost called their first child Shiloh Baptist, but they miscarried. Because my father shot in Georgia and my parents could only think of a southern name.”

Vivienne enjoys theater, although she may not pursue it. Her parents have told the media that they would support her in any pursuit, whether it’s performing or something else. With one role under her belt and a theater inclination, who knows? Vivienne might be the next Jolie-Pitt actress.
