‘Charlie’s Angels’ Star, Cheryl Ladd Talks Openly About Her Faith

Cheryl Ladd is known for her role as “Kris Munroe” on the iconic television series, “Charlie’s Angels.” Like other celebrities, her life was basically an open book, but there are things that she kept private, like her faith. And now, she is speaking out to reveal how her strong faith in God has helped get her through life.

Talking about her faith in an interview with Fox News, 69-years-old Ladd said, “It has been all of it. I knew who I was as a young girl. I would climb up the top of the tree and talk to God all the time.

It has been an interesting path – a lot of good, a lot of bumps, a lot of tough, learning moments. He [God] was with me the whole time.

He lets us trip ourselves so we remember that he is in charge. I think that is a good thing, especially in our youth. When we aren’t exactly thinking everything through.”

Even though she joined Charlie’s Angels on its second season to replace Farrah Fawcett-Majors, she surely gained friends that would last a lifetime.

She shared that she is still close friends with her former co-star and fellow angel, Jaclyn Smith. She said, “We see each other all the time. I see her in L. A. all the time when I’m there.

We have lunch and we hang. We talk all the time on the phone. We ended up being really good friends. Lifelong friends. ”

She added, “It’s really interesting because when you do something so specific, so iconic and you are in it when it was huge – it is something you can explain to people, but until you’ve done it, it is different. We think back often about how crazy that time was. We had to go into restaurants through the back door.

We weren’t prepared for how much people would love the show. It was wonderful, but it was wild. ”

Ladd remained on the show until the last episode in 1981. Aside from Charlie’s Angels, her film roles also include Purple Hearts (1984), Millennium (1989), Poison Ivy (1992), Permanent Midnight (1998), and Unforgettable (2017).

The past year has been a challenge for everyone due to COVID-19, even for Ladd. But she said that she’s been grateful for the extra time that she gets to spend with her grandchildren.

In a separate interview with FaceTime, Ladd said, “It is just so much fun. I think it’s so great, especially through COVID. We can be with our grandkids, even if they aren’t physically with us.

We can laugh, talk and play music. They would show [my husband and I] new dances they were doing. It was a wonderful thing to have, especially during a pandemic. ”

She added, “Life is such an amazing gift. Every day, you do learn something. Some things you learn, [some things] you wish you didn’t have to learn. But, sometimes you have astounding moments that make your soul sing. That is all God.”

You see, God has amazing ways to show His people that He is there, just watching over us. Despite the challenges that the world is facing right now, maybe this is the time to reflect and see where our faith is at.
