What Blanket, Michael Jackson’s youngest son, looks like now. He turned 19 and is very changed.
Bigi Jackson, who was christened Prince Michael Jackson II and affectionately known as Blanket, appeared on television to call on world leaders to act quickly on climate change.
“I think it is vital for us all to be aware of what is occurring,” the 19-year-old told Good Morning Britain on Monday, ahead of the UN COP26 summit. And I believe we still have work to do, but our age understands how critical it is.
As he sat in a room decked with the legendary King of Pop costumes, the teenager spoke briefly about his father. “There’s a lot of interesting stuff here.” He added regarding the family’s Hayvenhurst compound, “There is a lot of history in this house and in this studio.”
“It merely came to our attention at the time.” That’s what we all want to do: do things that people will love and, ideally, will better their lives.
Michael showed his children that there is more to life than the wealthy world into which they were born, according to Paris Jackson, who is now 23 years old.
“My father was very good at making sure we were cultured and educated, rather than just giving us the glitz and glam, like vacationing in five-star hotels,” she remarked.
A Halloween party hosted by Prince, Bigi’s older brother, in order to collect funds for the Heal Los Angeles Foundation, prompted the media visit to the Jackson family’s Los Angeles home. Prince has volunteered for this organization since he was in college, following in his father’s footsteps in philanthropy, and has teamed with them on numerous occasions to help individuals in need.
Michael died at the age of 50 from a cardiac arrest induced by a fatal mix of medicines administered to him by his doctor in June 2009. Bigi, born to a clandestine mother whose name remained unknown, was just 7 years old at the time.
This week’s television appearance is his first since he has avoided the spotlight and isn’t even active on social media.
