A car driving along a lonely road in the Evan’s Creek Mountains noticed a distressed dog. Due to his acute hunger, the dog turned out to be very aggressive and wouldn’t let anyone near him. Later, the dog was given the name Bear.
The driver took pictures of Bear and posted them on social media in an effort to find help. Amanda put her plans on hold and decided to help Bear right immediately when she found out about him.
Amanda and her friend Dylan started the hunt in the hopes of locating the puppy despite Amanda’s family’s recommendation not to go since it is dangerous.
After several hours of looking, they found the dog, but as was to be expected, Bear was quite scared and would not let anyone near him. They tried to seduce him with food, snacks, and a variety of weird methods, but it didn’t work. As dusk fell, Amanda and her friend had to head back home, but they returned the next day.
They found Bear in the same spot the following day, and after a few more fruitless attempts, they devised a fresh plan to attract Bear. Amanda made the decision to “play it dead” by lying down on the ground in an attempt to get the dog to think she needed help.
A moment that touched the hearts of countless animal lovers around the world occurred after Amanda had lain motionless on the ground for a few hours.
Bear waited 20 minutes after sniffing Amanda before approaching, thinking the woman needed help. The dog soon grew bored and walked away, but Amanda kept talking.

After a few more hours, Amanda was able to gain Bear’s trust and persuade him that he was just thinking of her. Bear joined Amanda in the car, and they sped off to the veterinarian.
After receiving treatment and care, Bear decided to be adopted by a family shortly after regaining his strength. The dog now has a loving family and a dwelling of his own, so he is not required to live on the streets.
