Terry Bradshaw reveals that he has had two types of cancer in the last year.
Terry Bradshaw is speaking out about his health, telling fans that he was recently diagnosed with two types of cancer.
“Last week on this show, I ran out of breath, and Howie helped me up, and a lot of people are wondering what’s wrong with me,” the 74-year-old Football Hall of Famer said on “Fox NFL Sunday” on October 2nd. “All I want to do is address it and tell you what has happened in my life.”
“I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in November. I visited Yale University Medical Center for surgery and treatment. As of today, I am cancer-free in my bladder, “He went on to say. “Okay, that’s the good news. Then, in March, I felt great. I had a bad neck, so I got an MRI, and now we’ve discovered a tumor in my left neck that’s a Merkel cell tumor, a rare type of skin cancer.”

The former Steelers quarterback explained that he had surgery to remove it at Houston’s MD Anderson Cancer Center.
“Folks, I may not look like my old self, but I feel like my old self,” he added. I’m cancer-free, I’m feeling great, and I’ll return to my usual self in no time. As a result, I appreciate your prayers and concern.”
As co-host Michael Strahan chimed in, he appeared to become emotional, saying everyone knew and that Bradshaw was the “ultimate teammate.”
“You know we love you, and you keep this show together, and regardless of all of that, we’re just so glad you’re here, and we’re glad you’re cancer-free, “Strahan continued. “I believe you will give a lot of hope to many people who are going through something similar.”
Bradshaw was a key member of the Steelers dynasty in the 1970s, when they won four Super Bowls in six years. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1989.
