Kate’s light shined brightly both on and off the stage. As a member of the Kentucky Wildcats Dance Team, she showcased her incredible talent and unwavering commitment. But Kate’s journey was not without challenges. Battling against osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer, she displayed an immense amount of determination and courage. This type of cancer primarily affects children and young adults, developing in the supporting tissues of the body. Despite the obstacles she faced, Kate remained devoted to her studies and her dream of becoming a nurse, inspired by the compassionate care she received during her own health challenges.
