People have the power to change you. Your power lies in the way you let them do it.
Envy, hatred, jealousy, malice … all these exist in the world. But it is equally true that there is compassion, mercy, understanding, respect … and especially love. There is a little bit of everything in each person. The proportions differ depending on our choices, depending on the values we have chosen.
You will meet extraordinary people who will leave you cold and you will meet opportunistic people from whom you will have something to learn. You will find examples of “yes” with the cart and probably even more of “no”. From all interactions you will form, but how you choose to be depends only on you. You will have something to learn from both good and bad. In time, you will learn what values and appearances are, and with a little help from God, you may be able to recognize them in those around you and protect yourself by keeping your distance.
Some people come into your life to wake you up from the naivete of childhood. These people are usually incredibly emotional crooks who are good at what they do, and once they get what they want, they will abandon you without any remorse, heading for the next “prey”. Well, you have to admit that after such an experience, you’ll think twice before you trust anyone, before you fall in love or friendship with people you don’t really know. From here you can choose not to care or you can choose to know yourself before taking another step forward … Do not be afraid of these situations! They are given to reveal the power that lies within you.
Then comes the comfort. Warm people, who have understood that it is extremely important to have a beautiful soul above all, who strive to help you, who give you unconditional attention, understanding and respect, who seem to take in hand the pain caused by the past, are those from which you learn how to train. You will appreciate certain things that you will want to attribute to yourself sooner or later. Those people will never consider themselves a role model, because they know that, in turn, they have so much to learn. They will not ask and will not want anything in return for their humanity. You want them around you, from them you learn to be human.
Be very careful! Don’t let bad things disappoint you. Push them in, take them as tests that you have to pass in order to mature. Try to become a man that you yourself can be proud of, around which YOU can stay dear. Suffering is hard, life is often unfair, but fight! The fact that you give in to the pressures and choose to go to the indifference and to stop all that is human in you is not a solution, but only a delusion, which makes you dirty and turns you into an ugly way. Do you want that?
