Michael J. Fox is a hero for many of us because he bravely battled Parkinson’s disease while raising millions of dollars for research.

Fox has had Tracy Pollan, his devoted wife, by his side through all his highs and lows. Since 1988, the couple has been married.

Recently, Pollan turned 63 years old. Fox also paid his wife a touching tribute on social media.

On Instagram, Fox posted a photo album that featured numerous images of him and Pollan together over the years, Pollan on the Oscars red carpet, and the couple with their four kids.

“She showers the people she loves with love, she shows them how she feels,” Fox said in the post.

Fox sent his wife a “happy birthday” in a letter. “My forever Summer girl,” “my love,” “my best friend,” and “the most beautiful amazing mom to our four stupendous kids.”

“Love, love, love you”

Pollan responded to her husband’s beautiful Instagram photo with the message, “Love this and you!!!”

Many famous people wished Pollan a happy birthday, including Julianne Moore, Jennifer Grey, Katie Couric, and Julianna Margulies.

Since 1988, Fox and Pollan have been wed. On the set of Family Ties, where Pollan played Alex P. Keaton’s fiancée, they had their first encounter years before. On the movie Bright Lights, Big City set, they collaborated once more, and a romance developed.

The wedding took place on July 16, 1988. Together, they are parents to their son Sam, identical twin girls Aquinnah and Schuyler, and daughter Esmé.

After only a few years of marriage, Fox received a terrible diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in 1991.

Fox remembered on The Late Show With David Letterman in 2015 that “it was scary.” It was the last thing I expected to hear at the age of 29, so. I believed I injured my shoulder while performing a trick because my pinkie twitched. The doctor then informed him that he had Parkinson’s disease. The good news is that you still have ten years of labor ahead of you, he remarked.

Fox claims his wife’s love and support got him through the hardest days as he fought to accept the condition.

“We didn’t know what to expect,” Fox said on Today. “Tracy didn’t blink at that crucial moment, which is one reason I’ll always love her,” the author said.

After 34 years of marriage, the pair still supports and loves one another unconditionally.

“I think we really listen to each other, and we are there for each other when we need each other,” Pollan said. Then, when necessary, we also give each other space. Just trying to be there and feeling off of what’s required right now.

“Tracy provides our family with all we require. Fox continued that she is the source of all our family’s good deeds.
