Now everything is clear! King Charles has made his decision and there’s no turning back

King Charles III is working on a significant rule adjustment that will have repercussions for Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and Princess Beatrice in particular.

According to a story in The Mirror, King Charles is working on a plan to amend the statute that prevents non-working royals from holding the position of counsellor of state.

According to the Regency Act of 1937, the spouse of a monarch and the four adults who are next in line to the throne are the only people who are allowed to serve as counsellors of state.

In the event that the king is unable to perform their duties due to illness, the counsellors can step in. As a result of these recently proposed changes, Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Princess Beatrice would no longer be qualified to act as a substitute for the queen.

In the later years of the Queen’s reign, various members of the royal family, including the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge, the Duke of Sussex, and the Duke of York, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh before his passing, were responsible for carrying out the duties of the position.

It is believed that the King is eager to take the necessary procedures to have the law amended as soon as possible. The King’s siblings, the Earl of Wessex and the Princess Royal, are likely contenders to fill two of the positions.

The King is said to be eager to take the necessary steps.

It is also considered that a more extensive change could take place to define the roles of working and non-working royals in a more precise manner.

Although it is not very common, there have been a few instances in recent years in which the need for counsellors of state has arisen.

Any changes to the law that need to be made would have to be approved by Parliament if King Charles goes ahead with his plans.
