Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter, died at the age of 54.

Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley, died Thursday, hours after being hospitalized for an apparent heart arrest, according to her mother.

She was 54 years old.

“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are horrified and grieved by Lisa Marie’s untimely death,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement supplied to CNN by a spokesperson. “They are deeply grateful for everyone’s love, support, and prayers and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

According to her mother’s Instagram post, Lisa Marie Presley had been brought to the hospital earlier in the day.

“Please keep her and our family in your thoughts and prayers. “We feel the prayers from across the world and beg for privacy during this time,” she added in a statement.

On Thursday, TMZ was the first to announce Lisa Marie Presley’s hospitalization.

According to LA County Fire Department spokesman Kaitlyn Aldana, at 10:37 a.m. local time, emergency services were summoned to the 5000 block of Normandy Dr in Agoura Hills, California, for a cardiac arrest. Aldana would not confirm the patient’s name, which could not be revealed owing to privacy rules, but said the patient was brought to a nearby hospital at 11:17 a.m.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department representative informed CNN that they aided fire officials on a medical call this morning but would not provide the patient’s name.

Lisa Marie Presley was most recently spotted at the Golden Globes on Tuesday night, where she attended with her mother to support the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis,” which is based on her late father.

Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie Presley’s son, committed suicide in 2020 at 27. She celebrated the second anniversary of Keough’s death on Instagram last July, posting photos of their matching foot tattoos.

Lisa Marie Presley has married Michael Lockwood, Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson, and Danny Keough. She was the mother of actress Riley Keough, Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood, in addition to her late son.

Lisa Marie Presley talked about her son’s death in an essay for National Grief Awareness Day in September.

“My and my three children’s lives as we knew it was completely detonated and devastated by his death. We live in this world every day. Single. “It’s Day,” she wrote. “Grief is something you will have to live with for the rest of your life, regardless of what certain individuals or our culture would have us believe. You do not ‘get over it,’ nor move on.”

Lisa Marie Presley also stated in the essay that she finds consolation in the presence of others who have experienced similar tragedies, and that her girls help her stay strong.

“I’m going to keep going for my girls,” she wrote. “I keep going because my son made it very plain in his final moments that taking care of his small sisters and watching out for them were at the top of his concerns and mind. He adored them, and they adored him.”
