Joaquin Phoenix opens up about losing his brother

Joaquin Phoenix has spoken out on the effects that the passing of his brother, River Phoenix, had on their family after he shared his thoughts in a recent interview.

River, best known for his role in the coming-of-age film Stand By Me, passed away at the age of 23 in 1993 due to a heroin overdose that occurred outside of the Viper Room club in Hollywood. The film was released in 1986.

Since then, Joaquin has gone on to achieve enormous success in the film industry, to the point that he was nominated for an Academy Award for his most recent performance in the film Joker.

Despite the fact that is known for his extreme privacy, he recently discussed the untimely passing of a loved one in a candid interview with Anderson Cooper, host of the CBS news program 60 Minutes.

Joaquin added, “I feel like in practically every movie that I made, there was a connection to River in some manner.” Joaquin was referring to the character of River.

And I believe that each one of us has experienced his presence and guidance in our lives in a variety of different ways, “he remarked this in reference to his family, who were discussed in the interview in some detail.

Joaquin stated that he and his family had no idea how famous River was at the time of his passing since they “were so far from the entertainment world,” meaning that they did not watch television or read publications.

The individual who was nominated for an Academy Award stated that “River was a tremendously substantial actor and movie star, and we didn’t really know it.”

“There are helicopters flying over you at the very moment when you are at your most vulnerable. There are persons who are attempting to infiltrate your property covertly.

“There’s no question in my mind that it made the grieving process more difficult, is that correct?”

Heart, the actor’s mother, concurred and went on to say that she still experiences bouts of sadness due to the fact that she did not fully cope with the death of her son at the time of his passing.

She asked, “Do you know that the grieving process can come out of nowhere at any time?

“There have been times when I’ve been driving and all of a sudden felt it. And I’ll just say that I look forward to it.”

As part of Jane Fonda’s ongoing demonstrations against climate change, Joaquin just became the most recent celebrity to be detained.

The actor who plays the Joker addressed the crowd at the rally with a statement right before the police escorted him away. In his speech, he took aim at the meat and dairy industries and encouraged people to switch to a vegan diet.

He said, “Something I think isn’t oftentimes talked about in the environmental movement or in the conversation about climate change is that the meat and dairy industry is the third leading cause of climate change.”

“I think this is something that isn’t oftentimes talked about in the environmental movement or in the conversation about climate change,” he said.

“I think that there are times when we might question what we can do in this fight against climate change, and there’s something that you can do today, right now, and tomorrow, and that’s by making a choice about what it is that you consume,”
