Jane Fonda’s Honest Feedback on Jennifer Lopez’s Relationship with Ben Affleck

Jane Fonda, an 86-year-old actress and a close friend of Jennifer Lopez, recently shared her concerns about Lopez’s reunion with Ben Affleck, despite the positive public reaction.
Lopez and Fonda’s friendship began on the set of the film “Monster-in-Law” in 2005. Since then, their bond has only grown stronger. In fact, Lopez even wanted Fonda to be part of her upcoming documentary “This Is Me Now: A Love Story” because of their close relationship.
During the filming of the documentary, Fonda expressed two concerns to the couple. She sincerely told Lopez, “I want you to know that I don’t entirely know why, but I feel invested in you and Ben, and I really want this to work.” Fonda’s concerns mainly revolve around the couple’s excessive public displays of affection. She feels that it’s more about proving something rather than simply enjoying their relationship, which is evident from the numerous photos they’ve shared.
However, Lopez seemed unfazed by Fonda’s comment and brushed it off, saying, “That’s just us going about our lives.” She didn’t let Fonda’s concerns affect her.
Another cause for worry arose when Fonda saw pictures of Affleck looking unhappy at the 2023 Grammys. She exclaimed, “Oh my God, what’s happening? I was really scared because of all the rumors about the Grammys, and he looks unhappy.”
To ease Fonda’s concerns, Lopez assured her that there was nothing wrong with their relationship. Affleck was merely feeling the pressure of being “the symbol of the beleaguered man.”
Despite her critiques, Fonda acknowledges that “everyone in the entire world is pulling for this relationship and this love.” However, she emphasizes the importance of the couple handling their relationship in a way that doesn’t overly flaunt it, as it can lead to criticism or resentment from others.
In the end, Fonda’s concerns stem from genuine care for her friend Jennifer Lopez. She wants nothing but the best for her and hopes that their love story will conquer all challenges.
