Jamie Foxx, 55, is still in the hospital after a “medical complication”
A-lister in Hollywood Almost a week after it was revealed that Jamie Foxx had experienced a “medical complication,” he is still in a Georgia hospital.
The family of the Django Unchained actor reported that he was recovering after receiving “great care” in treatment.
Corinne Foxx, the actress who won an Oscar, thanked the public for its support and good wishes last week.
In a message on Instagram, Corinne stated, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical problem yesterday.
Fortunately, he is progressing toward recovery thanks to prompt action and excellent care.
“We are grateful for your prayers and know how loved he is. The family requests discretion at this time. The Foxx Family, with much love.
Foxx hasn’t yet commented on the situation, and his family hasn’t given any additional information on how he wound up in the hospital. Still, according to TMZ, the incident was a medical emergency.
According to CNN, the 55-year-old is still being treated in a hospital in Georgia so that he can have additional tests.
According to Foxx’s agents, who spoke with Fox News Digital on Thursday, the family is not providing any additional information.
Cameron Diaz and Foxx are featured in the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action, just filmed in Atlanta. His health scare isn’t believed to have happened on the set, and the actor didn’t take an emergency vehicle to the hospital.
It is still unknown as of this writing when he will start working again.
Last week, TMZ speculated about Foxx’s health, saying: “We’re told his situation was so critical that Jamie’s family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital. A source told us that he is now communicating, which is wonderful news.
The 55-year-old’s career has flourished since he won an Oscar in 2004 for his portrayal of blind singer Ray Charles in the film Ray. The Texas-born actor has previously starred in movies including The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Jarhead.
I hope that Foxx is recovering well and that the testing results reveal that he should not be concerned in the long run.
