Geri Horner and her husband Christian are devastated by the loss of their beloved pet.

Geri Horner has admitted that she is heartbroken after losing her family dog, Margo, which she owned for 11 years.

On Tuesday, the devastated Spice Girls actress took to Instagram and shared a sweet video of herself playing with her beloved puppy at home. She said in the post, “Goodbye Margo [broken heart emoji] we love you.”

“Dogs are such a big part of the family and today we, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to Margo after 11 years,” her husband Christian Horner wrote on his own Facebook page. “Thank you, Margo, for being the most loving and compassionate furry companion x.”

Friends and admirers hurried to express their condolences, with Rylan Clark writing, “NO [heart emoji].” “I feel your pain,” said another. “Our family went through something similar approximately a month ago.”

“My heartfelt condolences!” remarked a third. “Furry friends like dogs and cats, as you say, are part of the family. It’s a terrible loss when they die; I’ve been through it many times.” “Sorry to hear that Geri,” another follower responded. “As a long-time dog mommy, losing a dog was one of the most difficult things I had to go through, especially since I have autism.”

Hugo, their pet dog, died three years ago, so their loss is especially poignant. “Goodbye Hugo my special friend – sadly passed away to Doggie Heaven,” the former singer wrote at the time, while her F1 boss husband added, “Hugo we will miss you so much but thank you for being such a good friend.”

A year later, the couple adopted Daisy, a fluffy canine from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. “Hello, Daisy! She’s had some health issues, but she’s on the mend and will be joining us in a few weeks. Exciting,” she said at the time.

“She’s a rescue dog from @battersea who needed a second chance in love and a family,” the star continued. Daisy, like Harry (who was also from @battersea), is a Shih-Tzu mix.

The singer lives with her husband Christian and their two children, Bluebell, 17, and Monty, 6. The family owns a second property in Hertfordshire in addition to their country home in Banbury. The couple keeps goats and chicks at their retreat since they have plenty of land.
