Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Serenades 100-Year-Old Lady On Her Birthday!

After the viral video with his daughter went viral, everyone now knows that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a gentle giant.

Everybody knew him as the intimidating wrestler who can bring anyone down. His menacing looks did not only make him a good action star, but also an effective comedian on television and the big screens. Recently, he again showed his softer side after he surprised a 100-year-old woman on her birthday!

Marie Grover from Philadelphia was celebrating her 100th birthday. It was definitely a number worth honoring. But to make her day more special, Dwayne Johnson had a sweet video message for her on her centennial birthday.

To top it all off, he even serenaded her. This special birthday surprise was made possible when a family friend took it to Twitter to ask for The Rocks’ help.

Jamie Klinger, the best friend of Grovers’ granddaughter sent a Hail Mary to Johnson through Twitter in September. Her tweet reads: “Oh my god-my punt to get @TheRock to wish my best friend’s gram a happy 100th birthday as she adores him might work.

She will lose her mind. When we were in high school (25 years ago) she would wear a rock sweatshirt and tell us how handsome he is.”

The Rock then responded to her tweet saying, “What?? First I’m hearing of this! Who’s turning 100? Beautiful age! What do you need, Jamie?”

Sure enough, he filmed a personalized video for the sweet lady and sent it to Jamie. And the rest was an amazing birthday bash history!

The clip shows The Rock belting out a “Happy Birthday” to Grover “who turns 100 years old today and I’m so honored that she’s my fan. ” He also blew kisses for her to honor the lady of her ‘beautiful age. I’m sending so much love and a HUGE congratulations on 100 years. ” He added, “What an amazing life.

… I’m very happy you were born and I’m so honored. You can eat cake, you can get drunk. Party hard.”

When she saw The Rock’s sweet message for her, “Grandmom Grover” cannot stop smiling from ear to ear. In between laughs while sitting in her recliner with a “100 & Fabulous” sash, she responded to the message and serenade saying, “Love you right back, you Rock, you!”

Klinger shared on Twitter the priceless reaction of Grover to The Rocks’ shout-out saying, “I cannot begin to thank @TheRock enough for making this happen.”

The Rock then retweeted Klingers’ video of Grandmom Grover’s reaction to his birthday surprise for her. His caption reads:

“Love seeing this. Happy 100th Grandma Grover! I’m honored you’re a fan and grateful you were born! Much love, Rock. (wish my grandma was still around, but stuff like this is always the best part of fame) #phillystrong”

According to Johnson, this sweet encounter reminded him of his own grandma. He said that he wished his grandmother was still around. But he was happy because things like this are just one of the best parts of his fame.

Not everyone gets to celebrate their 100th birthday!

Grandmom Glover is blessed to be able to experience this. Everyone is praying for her to have more years and birthdays to come. She seemed like a lady with a happy disposition. Maybe that’s her secret to live long!
